Hello!

The natural sciences are concerned with how things are. Design on the other hand, is concerned with how things ought to be.

My passion for design has taken me on a fascinating journey. I began with a Bachelor’s degree in Plastics Engineering, followed by a Master’s in Industrial Design. Combining my background in materials and manufacturing with my creative interests, I started designing products for consumer and industrial applications.

In the late ’90s, I transitioned to digital product design and have since worked across industries and continents. My expertise in user research, product ideation, and prototype testing has taken me to over 40 countries, where I’ve engaged with stakeholders, conducted user research, facilitated design workshops, and taught user-centered design to product teams. This global experience has given me a broad perspective and a deep appreciation for designing products that resonate across diverse markets.

I am particularly drawn to solving complex ecosystem problems, which led me to enterprise software design. Over the years, I have designed large-scale systems, including investment banking and trade finance applications, electronic medical records platforms, global auditing tools and supply-chain solutions.

Now, at Amazon’s Multi-channel Commerce and Fulfillment business, I lead a global Research and Design team driving the end-to-end experience strategy for a suite of merchant-facing tools within the supply-chain and commerce design ecosystem. My team is focused on simplifying complexity in our Amazon’s supply-chain solutions, accelerating decision-making, and helping merchants of all sizes grow their businesses – on and beyond Amazon.

In 2018, I completed a year-long executive education program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, specializing in Corporate Strategy and Innovation. This experience has strengthened my ability to bridge design, business, and technology strategy, enabling me to elevate design within technology-driven organizations. I am also an adjunct lecturer at Stanford’s d.school where I teach advance design projects to engineering students.

As a designer, I am deeply fascinated by human behavior at the intersection of design and technology. I thrive on solving tomorrow’s challenges, developing new product ideas, iterating them with customers, and bringing them to market success.
