Industrial Design

Don’t make something unless it is both necessary and useful; but if it is both necessary and useful, don’t hesitate to make it beautiful.

The Shaker Design Philosophy

Early in my career, I worked as an Industrial Designer, contributing to a wide range of consumer and industrial products. My design experience includes:

My Involvement

User Research⎜Industry Research⎜Material Exploration⎜ Model Making⎜Manufacturing Considerations⎜Functional Prototyping⎜Design Specifications⎜Production Support

Packaging Design

Designed an oil container that is easy to carry and pour, ensuring a spill-free flow. The packaging design not only enhances functionality but also establishes a distinct visual identity for the brand, helping it stand out in a competitive marketplace.

Pathway Lighting

Designed a range of bollards and pathway lights utilizing CFL lamp technology. These lighting solutions were developed for residential complexes, commercial office spaces, airports, and open recreational areas, ensuring both functionality and aesthetic appeal.

Street Lighting

Designed a high-pressure sodium vapor luminaire featuring an innovative Reflux lamp made of borosilicate glass with a uniquely contoured shell and an internal mercury coating. The integrated lamp and luminaire form a weatherproof enclosure, significantly enhancing optics, lumen efficacy, and reducing maintenance costs. Additionally, the redesigned mounting bracket allows for flexible installation, enabling the luminaire to be mounted both horizontally and vertically on poles.

Design of a Mobile Healthcare Unit

Designed a mobile medical unit for rural areas, focused on primary healthcare, including preventive, curative, and promotional medicine. The project employed a systems approach, addressing the complexities arising from the unit’s interaction with users, communities, the environment, and socio-cultural contexts to ensure effective and sustainable healthcare delivery.

Packaging Design

Designed packaging for PET containers across a variety of consumer and food products. The work involved leveraging advanced surface modeling software (CATIA by Dassault Systèmes) to create highly functional and aesthetically refined container designs.
